Open to: All ATA Licensees and Staff Members

Description: This four-hour seminar is divided into two practical, hands-on learning sessions designed to help your academy create stronger engagement, higher retention, and meaningful community impact.

The first half (8am-10am) focuses on how to create raving fans among the families already in your academy. You will learn practical ways to teach leadership and life skills even through your youngest instructors, so parents clearly see the value of what their children are learning and begin applying these skills in their homes.

The second half (10am-12pm) focuses on expanding that impact into your community. Learn how to demonstrate the value of martial arts leadership training through powerful school talks that educators appreciate and invite back again and again. Participants will leave with a clear strategy to increase parent engagement, the 7-step process for teaching Leadership & Life Skills for maximum impact, and a ready-to-use “School Talk” presentation that helps build lasting relationships with educators and community leaders. Please come prepared to participate in the hands-on portions of the seminar. *This seminar builds on each other, however, can be attended separately. “Great martial arts schools don’t just build skilled students—they build families and communities who believe in what they do.”

Hidden inside the 10 class management skills you use every day is something far more powerful than most realize: a framework for influence, connection, and leadership in every conversation. When you truly understand these skills, they begin to show up everywhere, in how you speak to parents, how you present in schools, and how your community sees you. They go from methods to teach by and become principles to live by. In this session, you’ll learn how to unlock these skills beyond the mat so that every interaction becomes an opportunity to: Build trust, create meaningful relationships, and position yourself as a professional and expert in your community.
