A Buddy Day-style event using the new ATA Tigers animated cartoon to recruit new members and to add value to your program, for your current members, through brand-recognition as well as support material.

SET YOUR DATE

Suggested date: September 12th

START TO PROMOTE YOUR EVENT

• Print movie poster(s) and hang in school

• Print and hand out movie ticket invites

• Post trailer on social media sites and use to promote event (Use the hashtag #ATATigers everywhere!)

• Use all social media to promote the event

• Pre-print name badges (based on Avery Label #5395, size 3 3/8 x 2 1/3)

• Pre-print thank you cards

• Purchase DVD’s and make copies of the cartoon with labels

COMMUNICATE

Communicate to your students & parents that their guests need to have at least 1 parent/guardian attend the event.

SET YOUR GOALS

Each Tiger brings at least one friend.

ORDER MERCHANDISE & PREPARE

Order enough support material for event based on the projected number of attendees from your goal above.

SELECT YOUR STAFF

You'll Need:

Instructor for class
Assistants (1 per 8 Tigers)
Registration and Sales
Greeter
Photo/video for social media posting

EQUIPMENT - VIDEO & SOUND

TV/DVD or Computer/Projector with adequate sound (make sure you test it prior to event)

PREPARE YOUR STAFF

• Delegate tasks and make sure you set clear expectations of what they are to do

• Review class planner

• Watch cartoon together (multiple times)

• Review what to wear to the event (Jahng Soo t-shirts, belts & Dobok pants)

SPECIAL OFFER

Decide what promotional package you will offer to referring students and new enrolling students.

PREPARE YOUR FACILITY

• Clean, odor free and professional looking facility

• Sales tables with table cloths

• DVD/goody bag table

• Merchandise table – Have packages displayed

WELCOME & SIGN-IN

• Welcome all guests and be knowledgeable of the facility and event

• Make sure special guests are made to feel “SPECIAL”

• Sign-In using your guest information sheet/waiver

• Have printed ads with your special offers of the day.

• Must have all guests sign your information sheet/waiver (1 parent/guardian must be present)

Here at ATA Martial Arts we believe in taking action. I want to thank all of our students for taking action today and bringing a friend to this special event. Whenever you take action, there is a consequence. In this case, it is a reward. At the end of the class today, you will be rewarded for taking action. Now let's watch Baeoh and his friends in action!

Closing — Testimonial Speech

Parents, an important benefit of our ATA Tigers program is the Life Skills training that they will receive. With our structured curriculum and training, your children will gain self -esteem and develop a "Yes, I Can" attitude. With this attitude, they will become more confident when, not only dealing with bullying, but with any challenges they face on a daily basis. At this time, I would like to introduce Mr./Mrs. ___________ to share their reasons for enrolling in our ATA Tigers Program.

Closing — Testimonial Speech

Pick one of your ATAT Tiger “success stories” to do a short demonstration highlighting answering up, standing tall and a quick physical demo of a short form or break a board. Ask their parent to stand up and explain how your ATA Tigers program has benefited their child and why they should enroll their child into your program. They are glad that they took action and enrolled them and they should do the same. Take Action Today!!! Your guest parents will be more receptive since they are hearing it and seeing it from someone like them, rather than just taking your word for it.

Have assigned staff-members taking photos and posting (before, during & after the event) on all social media networks. (Use #ATATigers)

ENDING YOUR EVENT

Who here had a great time today? Parents, who here would like their child to take advantage of all of the benefits our ATA Tiger program has to offer?

Give the first parent to raise their hand a FREE uniform for their child for "Taking Action" and raising their hand.

We are offering a special for today only. Our ____-month ATA Tiger Program (requires/has) a $_____ registration fee to start and is $_____ per month. For today only, for the first ___ people to stop at our front desk and enroll, we will waive the enrollment fee. All you will need to pay today is your first monthly payment as a reward for taking action. Upon enrollment, your child will receive this equipment package.

EXAMPLE: ATA Tiger backpack, Uniform/belt, Ara book, Training tool for the cycle (SJB, BME, JB)... Set appointments for those who enroll. Offer $100 Member Referral gift cards to referring students. Hand out DVD and goody bags to all attendees.
