Description: A must-attend seminar for anyone planning to open a school with little to no experience in commercial leasing. You will learn:

  1. Basics of leasing
  2. How to construct/propose an LOI
  3. Speaking the language that leasing agents will respect
  4. Key steps to increase your success in the negotiating process
  5. Specific items to make sure you have in your lease that most tenants don’t know to ask for.
  6. Open Q&A to assist in any way possible.

This seminar could save you thousands, or even tens of thousands, of dollars compared to going in blind or simply hoping your broker or agent catches everything.

Description: This seminar explores how the ATA Life Skills of Discipline, Belief, Communication, Respect, Self-Esteem, and Honesty are intentionally taught through core techniques, forms, sparring, and board breaking using clear attributes such as base, balance, precision, and power. Participants will learn practical instructor scripts and coaching cues that connect physical execution to character development, ensuring students understand why they move, not just how. Attendees will leave with ready-to-use teaching language and a deeper understanding of how to build strong martial artists and strong leaders at the same time.

Description: Running a martial arts school takes more than great instruction! School owners and staff are also responsible for communication, lead follow-up, retention, marketing, scheduling, and keeping the student experience consistent. This two-hour session gives leaders a practical, beginner-friendly way to use AI to save time, improve execution, and stay visible as the way families search and choose programs continues to change.

In the first hour, you’ll learn generative AI skills, how to use Chat GPT, and how to use AI safely and responsibly in a school environment. Senior Master Gonzalo Cabrera has extensive experience in the opening and management of ATA Martial Arts schools. He opened his first ATA school in 1993 and, beginning in 1995, established multiple full-time ATA schools in Uruguay, later serving as a Licensed Master overseeing 25+ locations.

Since relocating to the United States in 2009 (Charlotte, NC), he has opened and operated 8 ATA schools serving over 1,200 students.

He currently works as a school operations consultant and ATA Headquarters liaison for Latin America, and actively teaches at the PanAm Instructors Camp and the ATA European Instructors Camp, supporting the development and growth of ATA instructors and leaders internationally.
